Kevin Durant has finally made his Phoenix Suns debut after returning from injury and impressed co-star Devin Booker. “It’s just every time he shoots the ball. It’s just so effortless. You can see defenders trying their hardest to contest or fight over a screen and he looks unbothered or unfazed,” said Devin Booker in his post-game interview. KD scored 23 points against the Hornets while shooting 67% from the field.

KD has been known to be unfazed by injuries as he has recovered from an Achilles tear and returned to MVP form like it was nothing. Durant secured victory for the Suns by scoring 9 points early in the 4th quarter to close out the game. Kevin Durant played just 27 minutes in his first game back and still managed to put up 23 points on just 15 shots. The Slim Reaper is shooting above league average for field goal percentage and three-point percentage.

The Phoenix Suns have been quite inconsistent this season despite being a roster that made the finals just two years ago. The Suns are the 4th seed in the West however they are not safe from a drop. The gap between the 4th seed and the 10th seed is just three games and any prolonged losing streak will be dangerous. The addition of Kevin Durant at this trade deadline will give them some security as he is an offensive weapon.

As it stands, the 4th seed Suns will be taking on the Warriors in the first round which would be an iconic matchup. Kevin Durant on his new attempt at a super-team against his old employers in Golden State.

The Los Angeles Clippers have the same win percentage as the Warriors but have played two games less. The Clippers could secure the 4th seed and draw up a KD v Russell Westbrook playoff matchup which always promises fireworks. KD and Russ locked horns multiple times since the Slim Reaper left OKC and Russ has a 6-5 record against KD. The duo has been active trash talkers during matchups which makes this an exciting prospect.

The Phoenix Suns will look to make up for an embarrassing exit in the playoffs to the Dallas Mavericks last season. The Suns famously scored as many points as Luka Doncic in the first half of game 7 of the Conference Finals last season. The Suns were talking a lot of trash during that series and that exit drew a lot of backlash from fans all over the league following that. KD will look to revive the Sun’s reputation and is ready to take on anyone in his path.
