The playoff season often brings about controversies, altercations, drama, and a lot more. Most of this is petty, just like what Udonis Haslem did in Game 5. The Bucks and Heat’s first-round series ended spectacularly as Miami won Game 5 to win the series 4-1 and head to the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Heat dominated the series with Jimmy Butler being the star of their show. While he was stealing the show on the court, Haslem was doing his part of it.
Haslem and Bucks’ Bobby Portis got into an altercation during the second quarter of the game. They bumped chest-to-chest in a heated exchange. They had a verbal spat and there was some petty physical contact before the altercation fizzled out. Portis seemed unaffected as he walked off to focus on the game.
The Bucks were in a terrific position when the spat occurred but soon unraveled. They blew a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter, and lost the game in overtime, sending the Heat to the Eastern Conference semis, where they’ll take on the New York Knicks, who handed out a gentleman’s sweep to the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier on Wednesday. Miami became only the sixth eighth-seed to beat the top seed in the first round of the playoffs.
While the Bucks took the brunt of the criticism, Haslem’s actions also drew the fans’ ire.

The altercation between the Heat’s Udonis Haslem and the Milwaukee star Bobby Portis was nothing but a petty coming together between two intense competitors. The Heat’s veteran star tried to throw Portis off his game, but the Bucks star stayed calm in a tense situation and did not stir the pot. Haslem may not have made any new fans on social media, but he couldn’t care any lesser. His team managed to overcome historically low odds and upset one of the top dogs in the East. They will now take on a gritty Knicks team, who could be without Julius Randle, in Game 1.
