After years of oppression by Israel over the Palestinian people, Israel has suffered retaliation from militant group Hamas. They have launched one of the largest attack ever on Israel and are fighting for the sovereignty of Palestine. Various people and organisations have differing opinions on this matter including the Miami Heat.

The Miami Heat who are owned by Micky Arison, who comes from a Jewish family and was born in Israel made a statement on their social media platforms showing support for Israel during the attacks being carried out by Hamaz, which is the militant group that has been in was with Israel for a long time. The post made by the franchise has faced backlash from their fans and people in general.

Israel has been carrying out regular attacks on Palestinian people especially since 2022.In one such attack in August  of 2022 resulted in the death of 44 people, including 15 children. Palestinian people have been denied their freedom and are retaliating after being oppressed by them and have illegally occupied East Jerusalem, which consists of the West Bank and Gaza Strip since 1967. The war is yielding casualties for both sides and is pretty violent.
