“How dumb can you be” Fans call out James Harden after hilariously colliding with teammate Joel Embiid; Causing concussion risks

James Harden on the floor after crashing into Joel Embiid
Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden was dazzled when he collided with his big man teammate Joel Embiid during a fastbreak against the Toronto Raptors in game two of round one on Monday night.
At the last minute of the first half, the Sixers were already in 13 points lead but something really tense happened which stunned everyone present in the arena. Harden tried to separate the two defenders by a drive down the lane in the last 40 seconds of the second quarter and his knee hit Embiid’s left knee. Embiid’s left ankle seemed to tighten and both teammate collisions brought them down in stake.

Both Harden and Embiid were lying down on their back for a few seconds, Embiid was hobbling but still wakeup for the next possession but James was still on the floor holding his head. Later the Sixers fans took a breath of relief when both stars rejoined the game and no major injury was reported. Further, when in the next quarter, the duo started the game in style as Harden passed the ball to Embiid for an alley-oop which stunned everyone.

Joel Embiid gets the work done as James Harden struggle with a sluggish start
In this second game, it seems that the Raptors were trying to portray the ‘Bad Boys’ of the late ’80s NBA. They were targeting the Sixer big man on back-to-back possessions’ but he tolerated all those bullying tactics and brought the team their second victory of round one by 112-97. With this, the 76ers are now in the 2-game lead against the Raptors and just two more wins away to qualify for round two.

Embiid during the post-game interview talked about the deliberate blows by the Raptors defense, he said, “They put me on the floor a few times, and to me, this is where it gets interesting, I’m like, cool. I’m going to come back with more power and make you foul me.”

Embiid scored 31 points with 11 rebounds, and Tyrese Maxey added 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Whereas for Harden it was not the game to remember as he just scored 14 points and was 3 of 9 from the field and 1 of 4 from behind the arc. If the Sixers’ star guard continued his sluggish game there is no doubt that Philadelphia will suffer from it, in the upcoming games.
