In a recent game, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic showed off his dribbling skills against the Brooklyn Nets. Known as one of the best in the business, this is not the first time he has shown such fiery gameplay. Just like other teams and their star-defenders which couldn’t stop him, even the Nets player Ben Simmons had no answer to Luka’s offensive greats.

The Mavericks were up against the Brooklyn Nets at American Airlines Center. During the 4th quarter when the game was closely-contested, the possession was with the Mavs’ Luka. Ben Simmons defended him on his way to the basket. He swiftly approached him, and this resulted in him dropping to the ground. As the Slovenian All-Star guard used his unreal handles against him. Ben was nearly ‘buried’ by a violent move from Luka.

After that, Luka rushed in to shoot a wide-open layup as the Nets defenders were far from reaching him. Unfortunately, he blew up the shot, which was said to be one of the easiest. No one could believe Luka was missing such an easy shot, and the whole arena was shocked as well to see Ben Simmons touch Earth. Luka Doncic continues his 30-pts scoring streak as the Dallas Mavericks overcome the Nets’ challenge

Dallas’ Luka Doncic scored 36 points, as he became only the second NBA player with nine consecutive games of at least 30pts to start the season. The Dallas Mavericks registered a close win against the Brooklyn Nets at 96-94. Dorian Finney-Smith also chipped in as he scored 18 points, and Josh Green scored 16 for the Mavericks, who won their fourth straight game.

Luka joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only player to score 30 or more points in the first nine games of a season. Chamberlain wrote history when he did it in the first 23 games of the 1962-63 NBA season. For the Nets, Kevin Durant had 26 points, Cam Thomas scored 19 points, Royce O’Neale had 15, and Joe Harris added 14 to the tally.

Star player Kyrie Irving is missing out from the line-up due to his suspension (5 games), while Ben Simmons came off the bench after missing the previous four games with left knee soreness. Simmons had two points and three rebounds in the 16 minutes he played on the court. The Dallas Mavs play the Orlando Magic next while the Nets clash with the New York Knicks.
