Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker won the heart of the crowd when he dabbed up a baby after he shot a buzzer-beater in the first quarter of Game 2 of round one against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday Night.
The Suns were full of confidence and stepped onto the court to extend their lead in the series but things didn’t go according to their plan as Pelican rebounded in this game to tie the series and defeated the best team of the season by 125-114. For the Suns, Devin Booker was the player who was leading the team through his extraordinary performance. After the game, Booker received a lot of appreciation when his video of dapping up a baby went viral.
The game between the Pelicans and Suns was tied at 28 points per team, but Booker brought the lead to Phoenix by hitting a buzzer-beater through his fadeaway jump shot. After successfully attempting the short, the Suns’ guard fell onto the courtside where he created the most memorable moment of the game. As he was on the floor he looked to his left where a baby was sitting and he fist-bumped her.

Title race flipped on its head as favorite loses superstar Devin Booker in ‘brutal’ injury blow
The Suns are the most favorites to win the championship this season, even in the regular season, they’re the most successful team with the league’s best record of 64-18. The Phoenix Suns fell short last season when they blow up a two-game lead and lost all next four-game to Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA championship finals. Moreover, this season they have decided to bring the championship home for the first time but it seems Booker’s injury has now become a big concern for them.
Against the Pelican, Booker scored 31 points with 12 of 19 from the field and 7 of 10 from behind the arc. After the first half ended, the Suns started to lose their grip as Booker who was leading the team looked uncomfortable, he was suffering from hamstring tightness and returned to the bench early in the third quarter.
However, the all-star guard came back on the court at the beginning of the fourth quarter with covers but didn’t re-enter the game. The situation is really tense for the team as Booker has been their key player and if he gets ruled out it will be a blowout for the whole franchise who are aiming to win the championship.
