“If he gets ruled out, the Suns are done” NBA Fans go berserk as Jae Crowder gets majorly disappointed after hearing about injured Devin Booker
Devin Booker Injured in Game 2
Devin Booker’s injury in the 2nd half could be seen as a major setback to the Suns’ Championship aspirations. Teammate Jae Crowder expressed his concern which was even disappointing for the Phoenix Suns fans.
Leading at the half-time, Phoenix Suns were getting in the game after some gutsy plays by the Pelicans. But the injury to star man Devin Booker left the Suns short-handed in an important phase of the game and it finally cost them the game. The game was on the line with both teams separated by just 1 point in the 3rd quarter and just above 4 mins to go before the next quarter. But in an attempt to chase Jaxson Hayes’s dunk, Devin pulled up the hamstring and was taken to the locker room for assessment.
When he returned to court – he was all packed up and take a seat on the bench. But the charged-up Pelicans team took advantage of Booker’s absence as they dominated the reminder of the game before closing it down with a 114-125 Win. The win ended 4 years of wait for the Pelicans’ first playoff victory.
Ingram finished with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists, just missing out on his 1st ever career triple-double. C.J. McCollum was another big contributor as he scored 23 points with nine assists and eight rebounds in the game.
Devin Booker and Phoenix Suns looking for answers
Playing as favorites in the series, Phoenix Suns won the first game convincingly against New Orleans Pelicans. Booker contributed with 25 points and 8 assists in game 1 of the series. Continuing his scoring form, Booker started Game 2 with hot scoring runs. He scored 31 points in just 23 mins gameplay before going out with an injury.
Booker was seating on the bench, as a spectator, watching Brandon Ingram taking over the game. Concerned coach Monty Williams couldn’t give much of an update after the game. He said that as per his experience Booker tweaked his hamstring. Booker had already missed 7 games in the regular season with a hamstring injury to the left leg.

Coach Monty Williams tried to encourage his team and fans by giving some stats. He said, “We’ll have more information tomorrow. We’ve played without Chris [Paul] and Book before. If we have to play without Book, next man up. We’ve done that all year long.”
But Devin Booker is their primary scorer who averages 28 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in this series so far, equivalent to his regular-season production. It will be hard for any singular player to fill in for such stats on regular basis. The Suns have impressive 8-3 record in the 2022 regular season, but playoff games are always different than the regular season match ups. The next game is on 22nd April at Pelicans’ home court.
