“Too skilled for the league” NBA Fans go berserk as LeBron James answers all his critics with jaw-dropping double-double vs Spurs

It is year 20th and LeBron James is not yet ready to stop torturing the defenders when he is on the floor. LeBron James went ballistic against the San Antonio Spurs it wouldn’t have come at a better time when the Los Angeles Lakers are prizing on winning every single game. As James is on the verge of becoming the highest scorer in the NBA, the Laker star is more determined to take the Lakers to the postseason. Anthony Davis has been putting up historical numbers, Russell Westbrook has been instrumental in keeping the bench’s production going and the Lakers might have finally hit the switch. However, it is too soon to say so because the wins have come against some of the worst defensive teams in the league.

LeBron has often mentioned the 4th quarter being his favorite and it was on full display on Saturday. Amidst the criticism that Father Time has finally caught James, he had a perfect reply to his doubters. Despite being out due to an injury that made him miss 5 games LeBron looked far away from being rusty. He scored 39 points in just 35 minutes and he converted 11 of his 21 field goals. James was also perfect from the charity strike as he made 10 of 10 free throws.

Although the communication between the players on the sides of the court has been still missing it has certainly improved over the past few games. Speaking on the Lakers’ chemistry in the last few games and the understanding in the roster LeBron said players are getting to know each other and with time the production will increase. “It’s just a sense of you’re not really sure of each other, we don’t know each other,James said of the start. He continued, “But over the last couple of weeks, we continue to learn one another, we continue to play some good ball, share ball.” James also made history last night. He became the oldest player to score at least 35 points and 10 rebounds and he also holds the record for the youngest player to do so.

Fans react to LeBron James historic 39 points against the San Antonio Spurs

LeBron James made most of the bad defense from the San Antonio Spurs. He was not only going ballistic from the three-point range, but he was also punishing the Spurs’ defense in the paint. Initially, Bron struggled from the field and was shooting less than 50%, until he switched his gear. Of 39 points, the King scored 23 points in the second half when the Lakers desperately needed scoring contributions from its players. Moreover, Russell Westbrook and James gave a highlight for the Laker fans with an insane alley-oop dunk to the basketball.

As the Lakers register their 7th win of the season, they have further improved their record and currently sit in 13th position in the Western Conference. If the Lakers are thinking of making playoffs this season, they need to win most of the games in the coming weeks. LeBron James and Anthony Davis would look to continue their onslaught on the offensive glass. However, how much their body can sustain the beatings this season is still doubtful.
