Giannis Antetokounmpo is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to finishing within the paint. The player has come a long way from being a role player to his team’s top scorer and defensive player. The defending NBA champ has never shown a lack of effort in any aspect of his game and continues to get better every season.
The player was rightfully given the league’s most valuable player award after leading his team through tough situations in the Eastern Conference. The Milwaukee Bucks finally got their hands on an opportunity to win the title and the Greek Freak made sure he did not disappoint his teammates. He averaged 35.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game in the finals which included a monstrous 50-point performance by the man himself.
Bucks vs Celtics series gets tired at 2-2
After a fiery start to the series taking games 1 and 3, the Celtics’ defense got the best of the Bucks’ offense once again. There is no saying who will win this series as both teams as equally competitive and defensively gifted to emerge out of the East. But Milwaukee has more pressure on them considering that they are the defending champs of this season. The Bucks had a good three quarters in Game 4 before giving up the last one in a 28-43 scoring split. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 34 points and 18 rebounds during the game shooting 14-32 from the field.
The Celtics shot better averaging 41.5% from the field, 33.3% from beyond the arc, and 77.8% from the free-throw line. Jayson Tatum led the team with a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. Al Horford has had two good games in this series finishing with 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists by the end of this game. Antetokounmpo and Horford had a short scuffle on the court which luckily did not escalate. Milwaukee’s forward dunked the ball over the shot blocker and gave a slight taunt at him. The referees gave Giannis a technical foul over unnecessary actions.
Fans get heated over the “soft” on Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Antetokounmpo has often shown his hyped nature and especially during this series. Celebratory actions and praises do happen frequently and at the moment. Fans were not specifically pleased with the call made by the referees. Here are a couple of reactions.
