“Another solo star like Luka Doncic” Fans react as Guo Haowen fights entire Phoenix Suns alone in Summer League clash

Guo Haowen isn’t even in the league yet and the comparisons for him are already with the elite group as fans have brought Luka Doncic into the conversation. His performance against the Phoenix Suns at the Summer League matchup has brought him into the headlines and has him viral all over the internet. As many are impressed spectating his skills and game sense during his time against the Suns’ summer league roster as individually he has the potential to destroy his opponents but still, there’s some time left for him to improve. Guo Haowen this year though went undrafted and now probably regrets of taking his name out of the draft last year and opting to play in the CBA for Shanghai Sharks.

But still, the curtains aren’t down on Guo Haowen as the Dallas Mavericks are scouting and keeping an eye on him as they include him in their summer league roster. The game against the Phoenix Suns was a tough battle but the Mavs fought till the end and unfortunately fell on the losing side but that was deserved because they weren’t the better ones in the competition. The final box score stands at 105-78 favoring the Suns. Guo Haowen though played with his heart and soul out and got many highlights while dropping nine points. He wasn’t that good of a player in the competition but many around expect him to be that guy if trusted and developed properly. But as of now nothing can be said or claimed regarding his game in the league but surely he has a good start to it.

Guo Haowen’s future in the league

Guo Haowen is a 6 feet 8 inches big guard and that particular size is already advantageous for him for the role he plays with. He’ll surely get better in the future in terms of his physique and strength which again adds some more points to his good enough shooting and playmaking skills. He also has got some good bounce and defensive skills. So Dallas Mavericks who really need a big guy at the moment giving him a chance can be a deal but he isn’t that guy at the moment but can be in the near future.

So Dallas Mavericks can surely be listed for him but many believe he won’t make that much of a difference right now as the process will take time. The fans though already are expecting him to make it to the league and hoop around a team ready to develop him as a player.
