Earlier this month, the trade of Chris Paul from the Washington Wizards to the Golden States Warriors sending Jordan Poole to the Washington team made a lot of fans skeptical of how both Stephen Curry and Chris Paul will be playing together. In yet another piece to the puzzle, CP3 recently, in a press appearance said how it has not yet been decided whether he will be starting or will be coming off the bench. The 12-time all-star was welcomed by the Warrior’s official page and Stephen Curry himself.

Chris Paul has been a starter throughout his career in the NBA and when asked how he will be feeling about playing off the bench and playing with the second unit, had some things to say which might upset the Warriors fanbase.

As expected, the netizens and analysts alike have not been happy with his response and need clarity on how this situation will be dealt with by the Warriors. This was “demoralizing” for some fans and some fans talked about how the Warriors “brought in another problem.”

Chris Paul’s statements left many fans short of words. Many were confused as to why there had been no conversation yet in the Warriors squad and why CP3 wasn’t sure about this. Many joked about how he will bombed when he reaches the camp with the sad news that he won’t be starting and many sympathized with him. The majority, though, were confident that he IS GOING to come off the bench.

While the fans want Chris Paul to start off the bench, it will be interesting to see how Steve Kerr balances the squad. If Chris Paul does start, it is yet another interesting question on who he will replace, Klay, Wiggs, nobody knows. That’s for the coaches and the team to decide. But if he does start, seeing both Curry and CP3 on the court together from the same team will be mind-boggling, arguably the 2 best players of their eras in their position in the same team.
