“Undeserved he’s very mid” Fans react to J. Cole as the cover star for NBA 2K23 Dreamer Edition
J. Cole
J. Cole is a baller, it is obvious he is a fan of the game by performing in the all-star halftime show in 2019 and even trying to dunk the ball at the contest. He is also part of the Basketball Africa League playing for the Rwanda Ravens in 2021. A grammy award-winning artist, J. Cole will be on the cover of the first-ever Dreamer’s edition of NBA 2k23 and is reported that he will also be included in the MyCareer Mode.
Talking about being the cover feature, J. Cole said, “NBA 2K has long been a place to discover new musical talent through their game and continues to be a gold standard for showcasing all things basketball culture, It’s been an amazing journey to not only appear on a cover of this year’s game, but to be part of the MyCareer storyline, soundtrack and bring the Dreamer brand into NBA2K.”
The Dreamer’s edition is the first of its kind as before it was just the normal and the deluxe editions. This year’s cover for the normal edition is Devin Booker and the Legends’ edition is graced by Michael Jordan. In addition to J. Cole, his music alongside Lil Baby, Drake, Jack Harlow, Megan Thee Stallion and many more will be part of the soundtrack. The game is set to release on Sept. 9th. Though the Dreamers’ edition will only be available in Gamestop in U.S and Canada.
Fans React To J.Cole As The Cover Art
Though J. Cole is one of the more popular artists today, NBA fans did not seem to react well to the news as they went on Twitter to express their opinions on J. Cole not being deserving of a feature, many had the opinion that it should have been a player from the NBA itself. Here are some of the reactions from fans.
The rapper who is from Canada supports the Toronto Raptors and earlier this year had signed with Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Basketball Elite League and released new music in March and had multiple features. With being the cover for an NBA2k title, J. Cole has had a pretty eventful year and is not showing any signs of stopping.
