The game between Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors created hype for more than one reason. The obvious was Stephen Curry’s 47 points heroics in defeating the Kings by 3 points. But an interaction between a female referee and Draymond Green caught fans’ attention during the game between the Kings and the Warriors. In an argument between the two, the ref called out Draymond Green and asked him not to talk to her like that.
Draymond has been known for his aggressive attitude on and off the court. Recently Green made headlines for allegedly “punching” his teammate Jordan Poole in the Warriors’ practice facility. The altercation led Green to make hard decisions and keep himself away from the team for some time. Green’s aggressive attitude has also been beneficial for his team in fueling their energy in the game.
After an altercation video between Green and Poole resurfaced on the internet several former and current NBA players took to Twitter to react to the situation in Bay Area. David West, former Draymond’s teammate wrote, “Fire whoever leaked that video. Got a whole bunch of mofos who can’t be trusted. Everybody wrong. As soon as Dray start walking somebody supposed to get in front of him..looks like the video guys and support staff got more heart than some of then chumps on the sideline.”
Hawks star Trae Young wrote, “Draymond is tryna get to LA. Damn!” Although the matter seems to have settled between Green and Poole, some players believe it can’t ever be alright beyween the two. New York Knicks guard Evan Fournier wrote, “There is no way you can get back to being teammates after a punch like that.“
Draymond is not known exactly for his offensive prowess but his defensive mindset has helped the Warriors win 4 NBA championships. Steve Kerr and the Warriors trust Draymond Green with the most intensive defensive task on the court and he has barely disappointed them. In his recent appearance on the podcast “The Shop”, Draymond explained the reason behind his aggressive demeanor.

Fans took to social media to troll Draymond Green after an apparently heated exchange between the Warriors star and the female referee. In the video, the referee is heard saying to Draymond, “Draymond you don’t have to talk to me like that.” Fans took notice of the exchange between the two. One fan wrote, “Be careful ref before he hits u with the Draymond special“, referring to the Poole-Green incident one fan wrote, “Females can get Jordan Pooled, she better watch out“.
