The Los Angeles Superior Court has sentenced the Charlotte Hornets free agent Miles Bridges to three years of probation but no jail time for his domestic violence charge. The severity of Bridges’ punishment has popped the question of whether Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving was perhaps treated too harshly for his recent controversy.

Miles Bridges found himself in hot waters as he was accused of physically abusing his then-girlfriend in front of his two children back in May of 2022. The 24-year-old has pleaded no contest and has decided to accept punishment without admitting guilt in the case.

It has been a very dark week for the NBA as Bridges’ verdict follows the recent suspension of Brooklyn star Kyrie Irving who promoted anti-semitism on his social media and made insensitive comments about the controversy. According to reports from ESPN, Miles Bridges will be punished with No jail time and a 3-year probation. The punishment also includes several other counseling and community service.

It lies in the hands of the Charlotte Hornets whether they would be ready to resign the forward now that the legal issue has been settled. The NBA can also subject Bridges to punishment for this controversy. Fans are stunned that Kyrie Irving has received a way more devastating punishment for sharing a video on his social media while Bridges could potentially return to playing in the NBA.

Fans believe there is no doubt that the NBA would be sending a very dark message out to the world if they allow Bridges to continue in the league. Check out some of the reactions from fans to the verdict.
