“He ain’t moving till you free kyrie” Fans troll Anthony Edwards for FROZING out during a Timberwolves possession against Rockets

Anthony Edwards
Despite being the best player in the 2020 Draft class, Anthony Edwards appears to be running out of steam in his third season. Edwards appeared to be zoning out during a Minnesota possession in a recent game against the Houston Rockets, displaying his sloppy work ethic and minimal production for the team.
Anthony Edwards is one of the league’s hottest up-and-coming players. In the summer after his rookie scale deal ends, he will probably receive a contract extension proposal, just like every other rookie in the league who makes an impact on their front office. Edwards was frequently brought up when discussing the Timberwolves in the months before the season. But despite playing in ten regular-season games, he is yet to establish his consistency and given his poor work ethic, it is unlikely that he will.
During Edwards’ most recent game against the Houston Rockets, his terrible work ethic was on full show. The Wolves controlled the ball with around three minutes remaining in the second quarter when The Antman was spotted staying put and just being guarded by a Rockets player as his teammates rotated the ball and attempted a three-point shot, which they failed to make. This one ball possession demonstrated his commitment to the Timberwolves squad, who is now ranked 10th in the western conference despite signing Rudy Gobert from the Utah Jazz.
Anthony Edwards’ NBA career so far

With an average of 19 points, four rebounds, and nearly three assists in 2020–21, Anthony Edwards had a spectacular NBA season with Minnesota, who won 46 games and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in four years. When he narrowly lost to LaMelo Ball for the Rookie of the Year title, Edwards abundantly illustrated why the Minnesota Timberwolves were wise to select him with the first overall pick. Edwards averaged 21.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game during his rookie season while shooting 52.7 percent overall and 35.7 percent from outside the arc.
Ten games into the new season, the Wolves haven’t exactly been a complete disaster, but they have been extremely inconsistent, with Anthony Edwards serving as their unreliability leader. While averaging 22.8 points per game is by no means bad, Ant still finds himself in way too many extended moments where he doesn’t appear to be himself, which accounts for his team’s record. Edwards is capable of elevating the Wolves to the point where they are deserving of a title, but he must strive to be more reliable each time he takes the court.
Fan reactions of Edwards zoning out during the game

Anthony Edwards hasn’t had a good start to the current NBA season; despite being a furious and exceptional dunker, it was just last week that it was reported that he had not dunked the ball for about 7 games. After Ant had an inconsistent start to the season, his teammate Karl-Anthony Towns recently criticized him for not adopting a healthy diet and expressed displeasure with how Edwards cared for his body and nutrition.

Fans on twitter had their fair share of reactions as well:
The good news for Timberwolves supporters is that there is still plenty of time to make sense of everything. Although Anthony Edwards’ present irregularity shouldn’t cause a concern, it is something to be aware of. Whatever the problems, Edwards has demonstrated that when he is focused, he can be among the league’s top players. However, if he wants to become a superstar, he must play at the highest level of his ability more frequently than otherwise.
