Ballboy running

Being a ballboy is not an easy job, especially if one is for the young Boston Celtics team. Things got hilarious for the entire Celtics team and commentators Mike Breen and Doris Burke watching a ball boy run for his life when the freak train full of players suddenly came towards him. Things of this nature are not unusual during the game when ball boys find themselves in such situations. What stood out was the reaction of the Celtics players when they saw the freaked-out person running toward them.

With over 4 minutes remaining on the clock and Boston leading 82-127 in the fourth quarter, the Nets stole the ball from Sam Hauser. Cam Thomas passed the ball to Yuta Watanabe, who was already sprinting ahead. But the ball boy who was cleaning the wet spot on the floor, found himself in trouble as the players ran towards the basket just above him. He immediately got up and started to sprint away from the floor toward the Celtics’ bench. Players got up from the bench and hugged the freaked-out man and convinced him to calm down and sit.

Both Mike Breen and Burke burst out into laughter after watching the ball boy switch his gear in seconds. Burke couldn’t stop laughing at his misery and could barely speak a word after that. However, catching her breath, she remarked, “from zero to sixty in 78 seconds.” Celtics annihilated the Brooklyn Nets who were playing without their star player Kevin Durant.

Fans on the internet went wild watching the video of ballboy running to the Celtics’ bench and the uncontrollable laughter from Doris Burke. Reacting to Doris’ laughter one of the fans wrote, “He gave Doris that heart attack laugh.” While reacting to Brooklyn’s stinking defense on the Celtics another fan wrote, “Ballboy played better defense than the Nets today.” Here are some of the reactions from the fans on the internet.

The Boston Celtics swept through the short-handed Brooklyn Nets, 139-96, on Wednesday night. Celtics never trailed in the game, thanks to 31 and 26 points from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. For the eighth time this year, both Tatum and Brown scored in double figures. After returning from a sprained ankle, Robert Williams scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Kyrie Irving scored 20 points and Cam Thomas added 19. The Nets are now 4-7 without Kevin Durant after he injured his right knee on January 8.
