“Gave him a little shine,” Four-time NFL MVP reasons why he doesn’t jump into beefs unlike Kevin Durant
Aaron Rodgers and Kevin Durant
On Twitter, Kevin Durant is renowned for responding to both – his firm supporters and his harshest critics. Serge Ibaka, who was a teammate of the former MVP, during their stint with the Oklahoma City Thunder, is aware of this. Given the opportunity, Durant was mentioned by the former Thunder forward in the most recent edition of his “How Hungry Are You?” podcast.
Aaron Rodgers, a four-time MVP in the NFL, was Ibaka’s guest, and the two of them had an intriguing talk. At one point, Rodgers claimed that he had conversed on Twitter with several of his critics. He soon realized it was a mistake, though. “Gave him a little shine, a few followers,” Rodgers said regarding his interaction with Twitter users.
Following Rodgers’ tweet, Serge Ibaka brought up his old colleague and mentioned how much he loves arguing with fans on social media. “I guess you don’t know about Kevin Durant on Twitter because he always goes back and forth with fans,” Ibaka said. Following this Rodgers said “I did that a few times, I went back at some fans,” the football star admitted.
Many players employ “burner accounts” and deny that social media has an impact on them. The Brooklyn Nets great wants to disprove his critics on Twitter in addition to doing so on the court. Unfortunately, he was discovered utilizing burner accounts to respond to his critics, which was highly contentious. Kevin Durant still responds to his critics today.
Aaron Rodgers claimed during his interview on Serge Ibaka’s show that Twitter was a lot of fun ten years ago. Now, though, it merely serves as a sanctuary for trolls.

Could Kevin Durant be one the leading MVP contenders of 2022-23 season?
The Nets defeated the Detroit Pistons 124-121 after Kevin Durant scored a game-high 43 points, 26 of which came in the third quarter following a 17-point halftime deficit. Durant is having a career year with the Brooklyn Nets at the age of 34. In the 2022–23 season, he is averaging 30.4 points on 56.5% shooting, which is pretty impressive.
With his sixth point of the contest, Durant moved into sole possession of 16th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring record, passing both Paul Pierce and John Havlicek. Although he still has a long way to go in his career, Durant is closing in on Tim Duncan for the 15th spot and is just 100 points behind the legendary San Antonio Spurs player.
Moving past NBA icons in any statistical category, and undoubtedly the all-time scoring list, is always memorable, even if Durant will undoubtedly prioritize the victory over any individual honors.
The Brooklyn Nets are now 19-12 and the fourth-best club in the Eastern Conference as a result of his outstanding achievements. Furthermore, the Nets are on a six-game win streak and have won nine out of their last 10 games.
