“Nobody steps in front of me while attacking the rim” Gary Payton II viciously dunks on Desmond Bane’s head to shock the entire home crowd

Despite all the setbacks they have had this year on injuries and player availability, the Golden State Warriors have been the tightest we have ever seen them in over two whole years. After making seven consecutive playoff runs in the last decade (with the core trio) they are now making their mark on the league once again. The Warriors’ core remains the same from ten years ago but their young role players are starting to show out.

The team had a great regular season finishing as the third seed in the Western Conference with a record of 53 wins and 29 losses. The Dubs briefly topped the charts until injuries caused them to lose a couple of important games along the way. The playoffs have been a good stretch so far after they defeated the Nuggets 4-1 in the series.
Warriors’ Gary Payton II shows off his high flying skills leaving Grizzlies’ home crowd in shock

The Warriors once again dominated offensively against their opponents finishing the game at 117-116. A part of the reason why the score had gotten so close is that one of their leading defensive stars, Draymond Green had been ejected over a flagrant 2 foul during the first half of the game. They shot 48.4% from the field, 36.8% from three-point range, and 65% from the free-throw line.
One particular player has been a great piece on the court providing a boost on both ends of the floor, and his name is Gary Payton II. The breakout star has been an integral part of the Warriors’ recent success. During the game, he went in for a monstrous slam over Grizzlies’ Desmond Bane leaving both the players and audience in visual disbelief. Being six foot three and capable of attacking the rim at that level is a threat to be worried about.
Gary Payton II rose from potential cameraman to playoff starter for the Warriors

Gary Payton II did not have the easiest start to his NBA career. The player initially bounced around the G-League multiple times before making the cut to play with the Milwaukee Bucks. Even after that, he was sent back into the G-league where he outplayed everyone defensively. He became the steals leader and defensive player of the year in 2019.
Before playing this entire season, the Warriors signed the player to two 10-day contracts dating back to April 2021. Gary Payton II almost lost hope with his chances of making it through and came to call it quits to become video coordinator. Last night, the player earned his very first playoff game start after averaging 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds on 61.6% shooting from the field.
