“Is it $20,000?… I’ll save my money; I’ve got to pay for diapers” Giannis Antetokounmpo delivers hilarious excuse to not comment about referees’ controversial calls in Game 3

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the most humble and funniest superstar around the league and there’s no doubt to it. His dad jokes are always present in the media interviews and most of the time gets the media persons present cracked up as you don’t expect him to do so and come up with such things. Recently, he had the whole room laugh for his smart and hilarious response to not comment about the referees for the controversial officiating in the Game 3 of Boston Celtics-Milwaukee Bucks (eastern conference semi-finals) the most physical series so far the stretch. The series was tied at 1-1 but Giannis Antetokounmpo stepped up in Game 3 and got the job done as they lead by 2-1 and have a great chance to advance ahead as the Greek Freak is in good form and the best shape.

The Milwaukee Bucks hosted the Boston Celtics at Fiserv Forum for Game 3. It was an important match-up and the Bucks getting the last laugh secured the lead. The game was head to head and closely contested that it came down to the final 0.1 second remaining on the clock where a tap in layup by AL Horford which would have forced overtime was waived off by the officials correctly as it was not timed perfectly. The final box score stands at 103-101 favoring the Milwaukee Bucks. Both the teams had a horrible shooting night but Giannis Antetokounmpo with his great offensive and defensive skillsets backed up the Milwaukee Bucks and won the game putting a stop on the Celtics who almost made a comeback during the final minutes.

Giannis Antetokounmpo gets the most credits for the win. As in the game, he dropped a 40-point bomb on Celtics’ head and got himself 42 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. He was backed up by Jrue Holiday who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo was godlike throughout the game even though he was fouled many a time as the series is so far the most physicially contested one but many of those were uncalled. But nothing was enough to stop the beast he is. This has led to many around the league criticize and troll the officials for eating up many important calls for the Greek Freak but his response his completely different as he smartly got away after throwing some shade and showing off his disappointment.

Giannis Antetokounmpo in the post-game interview discussing the officiating throughout the Game 3 quoted: “How much does it cost if I say something, a comment about the refs?… Is it $20,000? It’s a lot of money, I should not do it. I’ll save my money… I’ve got to pay for diapers. I just got to play through it, we all gotta play through it. Sometimes they’re gonna call it, sometimes they’re not gonna call it but at the end of the day it’s what Jrue said, it’s playoff basketball.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo has made it to the headlines for such hilarious response and has fans around going crazy. As reacting to it they appreciate and praise Greek Freak for his godlike performance against the Celtics and also wish him luck for further match-ups. The defending champions now look great and promising with Giannis Antetokounmpo dominating every end so the chances of them repeating are higher and they too have a real shot at it.
