LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are two of the greatest players in the NBA at present. Antetokounmpo has morphed into one of the most dominant forces the league has ever seen and his presence alone ensure a plus .500 season for the Bucks. James, while getting on in years, has still maintained that IQ and agility that defined him in the past.

As two NBA superstar, they are often compared to each other and asked what they feel about each others game. Indeed this question was recently asked to Antetokounmpo on a YouTube series called ‘Guess the Secret NBA Player.’ The question posed to Antetokounmpo was how would he stop LeBron James. Antetokounmpo’s answer was straight forward. He simply replied, “You can’t”.

Indeed this is a sentiment shared by many players across the league. Entire defenses have been made in an attempt to stop James and many have failed to do so.

James, who will be entering his 21st NBA season, is all set to be the oldest player in the NBA. Even at the age of 38, James performed at a high level last year and was instrumental to the LA Lakers playoff run which saw them reach the Conference Finals. Fans will hope that James, despite aging another year, will be able to maintain his elite level of performance in the regular season.

How are Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks placed before entering the regular season?

Though Giannis Antetokounmpo has called LeBron James impossible to stop, he is quite unstoppable himself. His athletic body and high vertical have often helped him muscle through walls of defense to finish at the rim.

His dominance has helped paved the way for deep post-season runs for the Bucks in recent years. However, last year, the Bucks were kicked out of the first round by the Miami Heat. This was disappointing for the 2021 champions and they will be seeking revenge. The recent addition of Damian Lillard to their roster will help them realise this goal.

The Lillard trade has positioned the Bucks quite well. With Antetokounmpo’s dominance in the paint and Lillard’s elite perimeter shooting, the Bucks’ offense is going to be extremely difficult to stop. The spacing on their floor is going to be absolutely wild and opposing teams will have a tough time figuring out how to stop them. The true impact however will only be seen when they begin playing in the regular season, all we can do till then is wait.
