“Go kick some a** brother” Giannis Antetokounmpo’s heart-warming gesture with Jayson Tatum after Celtics secure EC Finals berth

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jayson Tatum

Giannis Antetokounmpo rose up against all odds in this respective semi-final series against the Boston Celtics until Game 7’s second quarter. Having gone 6-of-9 from the floor in the first quarter, the Greek Freak looked destined to make a noise at TD Garden with another powerful performance but guess it wasn’t his day as the Celtics ruthlessly beat Bucks 109-81 to secure their EC Finals berth.

With the difference being ever so clear, the Celtics and the Bucks mutually decided to let their bench players get onto the floor for the remaining 2 minutes, marking the end of the series. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jayson Tatum ended up sharing a hart-warming moment after a tough dual game after game in this tiring series. Take a look below.

While Giannis Antetokounmpo managed to score 25 points and 20 rebounds in Game 7, the numbers do not show his abysmal performance. Perhaps ‘Abysmal’ would be the wrong word, but the Greek Freak seemed to have run out of gas as the game progressed into the deeper stages.

On the other hand, Jayson Tatum, himself wasn’t at his ruthless best in Game 7 as he managed to score just 23 points. So, who was the difference? Firstly, Power Forward, Grant Williams who scored his best-27 point tally, which clearly gave the home team an edge from downtown.

Moreover, the Milwaukee Bucks once again struggled from deep-range as they went onto 4 of 29 in game 7. Interestingly they were outscored by more than 50 points by the Boston Celtics from downtown. Perhaps summing up where the entire point-difference was.

That being said, with Giannis Antetokounmpo showing signs of being human after all, the heart does go out to Milwaukee Bucks who gave their heart and soul on the court, even when they were without Khris Middleton. For now, all eyes will be on Jayson Tatum led Celtics and their EC Final series starting Tuesday, against the top-seed Miami Heat.
