“False” Giannis Antetokounmpo names this NBA team which he will never play for
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo appeared on his teammate Serge Ibaka’s show, wherein he was asked a few questions as a part of the ‘Spicy Questions’ truth or drink segment. Apparently, the 2xNBA MVP revealed the name of this team he never sees himself playing for. Being in the same conference, Giannis made it clear that he has not
As mentioned, Serge Ibaka’s show ‘How Hungry Are You?’ had a new guest, Giannis Antetokounmpo. During the truth or drink round, Serge asked Giannis, “True or false: one day, Giannis will play for the Toronto Raptors,” adding, “be careful with your answer because everything that stays here is gonna stay forever.” Giannis thought for a while and answered, “False.” This answer of Giannis indeed must have raised many eyebrows.
The connection between Antetokounmpo and the Canada-based franchise are deeply rooted. In 2013, Raptors president Masai Ujiri made several attempts to trade up to get Antetokounmpo in the NBA Draft, but the attempts went waste as the Bucks got their hands on the ‘Freak’ from Greece. He is currently in the first year of a five-year, $228.2 million deal with Milwaukee, though he can opt-out after the 2024-25 NBA season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks bow down to Atlanta Hawks despite heroics
Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed the last two games with left knee soreness, was back on the court as the Milwaukee Bucks lost to a ‘comprehensive’ Atlanta Hawks 121-106. Talking about the individual tallies of the game – De’Andre Hunter scored 24 points, while Trae Young had 21 points and nine assists for the Hawks. Moreover, Clint Capela chipped in with 19 points and ten rebounds, Dejounte Murray scored 19, and John Collins scored 16 points as Atlanta won for the fifth time in seven games.
On the other hand – Giannis scored 27 points in 31 minutes, and Beauchamp had 20 points as the Bucks lost three of their four games after a promising and dominant 9-0 start. Antetokounmpo made 8 of 21 shots, failing to convert all three 3-point attempts, and was 11 of 18 from the free throw, also looking a bit rusty in his comeback game.
Both these mentioned teams are running with all their weapons out. For the Hawks, Bogdan Bogdanovic remains out with a knee injury as he has yet to play a game this season. Whereas, there are a series of injuries lined-up for the 2021 NBA Champions.
They will look to get back to winning ways as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers next. In contrast, The Atlanta Hawks will face off against the Boston Celtics in the next game.
