With the 2023 NBA Draft just around the corner, teams have hurried into plans for the next season. After facing a disappointing end to their season, many organizations are looking to rebuild and restructure their roster. One of the teams who are looking to have a new fresh look at the Washington Wizards. The Wizards finished the 2022-23 NBA season at number 12 in the Eastern Conference. Understandably, they would want to shift players, and it looks like Bradley Beal might be one of them.
Washington has also had new leadership in their front office. The Wizards have a new President of basketball operations in Michael Winger. Subsequently, many speculate that the guard could potentially be traded in exchange for multiple players. NBA insider Shams Charania spoke about the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks being potential suitors. He explained how Beal could team up with star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
“Sources tell that the Wizards and Bradley Beal are working on trade options as the NBA Draft nears next Thursday” Shams Charania said starting off. “Brad Beal has four years, offers of $207 million left on his contract. He signed a five year $251 million deal last year. That deal also included a no trade clause so he’s gonna have a level of control on his future.” he said.
“Expect the Miami Heat to merge as significant suitors for Bradley Beal if and when the Wizards move ahead with a potential trade. I’m told another team looming as a potential suitor for Brad Beal in the marketplace; the Milwaukee Bucks. So you have those two teams.”

Where will Bradley Beal fit better?
Both the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks are interesting landing zones for Bradley Beal. The Heat had a formidable run this season. Although they lost to the Denver Nuggets in the Finals, Miami played with sheer dominance. In fact, they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the first-round series, being the eighth seed going up against the first.
The Milwaukee Bucks, on the other hand, suffered a huge upset. They walked into the playoffs as the best Eastern Conference team, only to get knocked out during the early stages. One of the main concerns for the Bucks would be a prolific guard with scoring abilities who can take the pressure off Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Although the Miami Heat have players like Caleb Martin, Tyler Herro, and Duncan Robinson, the Bucks are more in need of a player like Beal. In fact, with the enticing assets that the Heat have to give, Milwaukee might have to package a set of players if a Bradley Beal trade is to be pursued.
