LeBron James has got one of the best longevity runs in the NBA so far. Since the beginning of his basketball journey, he has been recognised as a star. The former All-American ranked prospect quickly grew into what we now know he as, arguably the the greatest player of all time. Even to this day, he remains as one of the most dominant players in the league.
At the age of 37, the Los Angeles Lakers forward averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists shooting 52.4% from the field. During the 2021-22 Season he had a series of records made which included becoming the only player in league history to have 30,000+ points and 10,000+ rebounds as well as assists. The upcoming season may be even more historic has he is bound to break the all-time scoring record.
LeBron James plays some of the highest minutes in the NBA
Last season, the Lakers had LeBron James starting throughout the season. But one major concern was the amount of minutes he played with regards to his physical health. Over the last two seasons, the King has suffered more injuries than he has his entire career almost. This costed them a deep playoff run in 2021 after getting beaten by the Phoenix Suns in round one.
Last season he played only 56 games and averaged 37.2 minutes per game. This was a big concern in terms of his usage and especially because he is older. He averaged 37.6 minutes in 2016 when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the title making last season the most he had averaged in nearly six years.

Gilbert Arenas compliments LeBron James while advising younger players
Gilbert Arenas has had a rocky relationship with LeBron James. But as far as that goes, everybody has drawn respect towards James for what he has down over the last two decades. He tried to explain that superstars these days average much less than the ones of the past.
He took LeBron as a example saying, “LeBron played 37 minutes at 37, Iverson was playing 43 minutes. … You got superstars in today’s game like 32 minutes.” The reason behind Bron’s ability is because on how much he trains and conditions himself to withstand that much physicality. He led the league in minutes three times during his career.
