Gilbert Arenas has made his way back to the NBA headlines and the reason is once again his take on NBA stars. But fortunately and unexpectedly this time he and even his take is making sense unlike the one he had on Giannis Antetokounmpo and this time on the receiving end is Warriors defensive expert Draymond Green. Gilbert Arenas in a recent interview with VLAD TV talked about Draymond Green’s poor form and struggles in the last season especially during the playoffs and his beef with Kendrick Perkins.
Gilbert Arenas was also one of the many names who criticized Draymond Green for his worst performances, shooting slumps, non-defensive runs and half-hearted game style. As Draymond Green was really struggling during that stretch and putting up single triples while getting fouled out most of the time. He wasn’t the same guy we have been watching for the last seven years in the playoffs. So many around like Gilbert Arenas called him out.
Draymond Green was criticized, trolled and called names throughout the stretch while it looked like he was out of his mind while suiting up for the Golden State Warriors. But fortunately, he battled it all out and was back with the dirty plays and mind games he’s known for. As he helped the Stephen Curry led Golden State Warriors to win another (his fourth) title against the Boston Celtics in six games.
Guys like Gilbert Arenas have indirectly helped him a lot to be great again and do what he’s known for. So recently, discussing all the critical shots which were fired against Draymond. Agent Zero revealed what he thought and also talked about the critical take he threw at the former DPOY during the NBA Finals.

Gilbert Arenas talking about his criticism for Draymond Green and the exchange he had with the star as he wasn’t being himself out there quoted: “He wasn’t playing ‘Draymond Green style.’ Because I made comments about ‘Draymond, if y’all lose this series, I blame you for it, because you’re not doing what you do.’ He didn’t take offense to it. He understood where I was coming from. Yeah, We DM all the time.”
Further, Gilbert Arenas added: “He understood what I meant. He knows I don’t need you to go out there and try to score 20, pretend you’re the 3-point shooter when your role is to play defense. Make sure everyone else is doing a role. That’s what made you a champion. So, I can’t take away what made you a champ.”
Gilbert Arenas talking about Draymond Green’s game style and the role he has to suit up with for the Dubs to be on the winning end quoted: “You took 2 points and 10 rebounds and 10 assists. That’s the Draymond Green game. You sacrifice for the betterment of your team. You do that the best. So, I can’t criticize you when your numbers don’t look the way I think they should…I blame you if you don’t because it’s all designed around you, getting everyone involved.”
Gibby is not at all wrong this time as he said exactly what Dray was supposed to do and he eventually did before lifting up the title. The Dubs now will be defending their title and the road isn’t going to be easy at all. As the western conference is a lot tougher now compared to what it was last season and even they have lost some of their key bench players. But they still have the legendary trio of Chef Curry, Klay Thompson and Green so they still have the potential to destroy the league once again.
