Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas is known for his controversial takes and charismatic personality. Recently, he talked about the ongoing clash between comedians Kevin Hart and Katt Williams. The tension heightened when Williams openly criticized Hart on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay. Katt Williams challenged Hart’s credibility. He talked in support of Hart over Williams.
Gilbert Arenas became an unlikely person to talk about the situation. The former NBA player defended Kevin Hart on his podcast, Gil’s Arena. The argument made by Arenas seems sensible. He did not understand why Williams became upset over Kevin Hart accepting the roles that he was turned down by Williams in the first place.
Gilbert had this to say while speaking on the Gil’s Arena show:
Now here's the problem, the only person that can top this interview will be if Kevin showed up. The reason that Kevin holds the trump card is that when you was on top of the world, you was the diva, that was turning down roles, doing this and doing that. How long somebody going to do that before they move on. You and your team did not put yourselves to be in a position to be successful. And I put my team in a position to be successful. So why be mad at me?Gilbert Arenas via Gil’s Arena
This was not the first time Kevin Hart and Katt Williams had beef. Hart once defended a fellow comedian who received scathing criticism from Williams. Night School movie co-star Tiffany Hardish received from Williams. He made similar allegations of Haddish not deserving the roles she was offered. The criticism made Hart intervene and offer support to Haddish.
Gilbert Arenas says the Lakers have to take out the trash from their lineup
Since being crowned the inaugural NBA Cup champions, the Los Angeles Lakers have won three out of twelve games. Arenas spoke about how to save the team in the latest episode of the podcast. He made a plea to LeBron James or whoever ran the team.
Arenas wanted the Lakers to rid themselves of some players on the roster. He named Taurean Prince and Cam Reddish among others as the ones who should leave the Lakers. He named players like Prince and Reddish as the reason for their below .500 record. Despite the best efforts of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers have struggled since the In-Season Tournament victory.
The Lakers lost 110-96 to the Miami Heat, their third loss in a row. Their record became 17-19 record after they suffered a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers need to do something drastic to contend in the stacked Western Conference.
