Gilbert Arenas unveils dark truth of Kwame Brown

Vlad TV is trending among the NBA Community, owing to the spicy content it spews with multiple NBA legends and players, this time it was Gilbert Arenas. Kwame Brown became the poster boy for any “the biggest bust in the NBA” list. He failed to reach his ceiling and was considered a failure because he had it all in terms of physical gifts. A lot of theories have been put out there about his failure and Gilbert Arenas decided it was time to let it all out.

Arenas would seemingly know. He spent both the ’03-04 campaign and the following season playing alongside Brown in Washington. And from the sound of it, they won’t soon be exchanging travel plans in an effort to organize a team reunion. Brown played 13 NBA seasons, averaging a disappointing 6.6 points per game and 5.5 rebounds. His bad games led to more drinking, and plenty of it, per Arenas, “He had a bad game, drunk even more.”

Kwame Brown revealed he didn’t have the benefits of having solid veterans when he got his feet wet in the league. And that was a crucial factor in why he struggled early in his career. However, in an interview for VLAD TV, Gilbert Arenas revealed a different reason why the 6’11” center had bad games. According to Gil, Brown was an alcoholic. Brown has gotten plenty of criticism throughout the years. He’s been the butt of the joke among players from his generation, and he’s grown sick and tired of that, calling them out on social media.

“He was a fu**ing drunk man, he was a fu**ing drunk. That’s what Kwame Brown was, He had a bad game, drunk. Had a good game, drunk. Was bored, drunk. It’s how he coped with life… as soon as I leave practice I’m drunk and I’m going to be drunk all day. When he spats on everybody — drunk.

He can’t get in front of that camera sober. I had to ask players and coaches, like, ‘was Kwame Brown that bad?’ I remember I was talking to someone the other day and we were talking about alcoholics and he was like ‘your old teammate was an alcoholic… I walked past him a couple of times and just, bad.’ It was bad because he didn’t have anyone.

“I went on this live like he someone said you know hit the link so i hit the link and um he got his group of people up there because he can’t talk by himself so he needs a bunch of people a bunch of other losers that have nothing they don’t know him but they’re part of Kwame gang right and they asked me they said um what’s your beef like how’s this gonna end I said ask him. I said won’t you ask him hey Kwame why what is the reason you’re actually mad at me well I’ll tell you in person said see he doesn’t want to answer.

“Well I’ll talk when I see you will tell you oh open threat all right so I mumbled just want to put I just want to put the pistol to his throat right it was you know I was singing um “Trenato” by Chief Keith okay one of his lines yeah “right through his throat” then goes the next morning follows the police report on me”

“I said yo you look like a lame you supposed to be this this seven foot guy that’s supposed to be all strong and beat everybody up and you’re running to the police because i said something like come on pick a side victim tough guy victim alpha pick one you can’t be both can’t be both you can’t be both and he just sits there and just whines three times a day driving drunk”

Gilbert Arenas slammed his teammate’s lifestyle and social media behavior, overall he isn’t a big fan, “Five, six and zero. Those were your stats” added Arenas, referring to the oft-sparse box scores associated with Brown.

If these things get discussed more in the open, many young stars can learn from other people’s mistakes. And maybe, that’s his real purpose in life: not to become a big NBA star but to teach others a life lesson. Gilbert Arenas has vehemently criticized Kwame Brown and Brown has spit back at him too, as this endless beef between two teammates goes on.
