Former NBA all-star Gilbert Arenas is known for his harsh take on everything that goes around the NBA. Recently in an interview with DJ Vlad on Vlad TV, Arenas and Vlad debated on whether or not celebrities like The Weeknd and J Cole need beefed-up security or not.

Gilbert Arenas responded to Vlad’s initial question regarding Terrell Owens fighting a man at a CVS by saying that the man was clout. He said “You know he was so calm like… it’s like he’s trying everything. Like, come on, like you don’t want this Let It Go. Yep Let It Go. But you know from just from here in the Audio I guess that dude like was like I’m gonna get famous.” Then DJ spoke about how a fan was harassing him at an airport.

Vlad said, “I had one guy at an airport walk up to me and talk sh*t to me. But I think it was more based on the girl that I was with. You know trying to get her attention, and then when I walked up he saw that we were together. I think he felt some type of way about that. He recognized he realized who I was so he walked up to me. And, started talking sh*t and she was just like, come on let’s go like… I’m not We’re Not Gonna and it wasn’t even like aggressive. It was like him just talking sh*t about my business. You know what I’m saying I thought he was a fan and he’s like you know started talking sh*t.”

Arenas further spoke about how celebrities like The Weeknd and J Cole didn’t require bodyguards for their safety “Certain celebrities you’re gonna be like they don’t need a bodyguard because they don’t have that energy. Nobody’s beating up on the Weeknd. Okay, no one’s gonna jump the Weeknd no one’s gonna jump J Cole. Like because he doesn’t have that energy.”

Further, Gilbert Arenas added why celebrities like Weeknd and J. Cole won’t need bodyguards. And, while doing so he said: “You know J. Cole like he can go anywhere and be cool. Because he don’t have that standoff energy. He is not rapping about when I see you in public… that’s not him. You know what I mean so there’s a reason why singers are not getting jumped everywhere. He sing.”

The former Wizards player once admitted to having up to 500 weapons in his house, which were once part of an independent collection. Arenas insists the firearms weren’t loaded, but they were the start of the end for his NBA career, with Christmas 2009 being a crucial day in his fall.

Two teammates, JaVale McGee and Javaris Crittenton, played cards while on the team’s plane, and a lot of money was wagered; the latter was the loser. Following the plane’s landing, Crittenton and Arenas got into a fight, with Crittenton claiming that the debt would be forgiven but threatening to shoot Arenas in the knee anyway and even burning his car while he was in. Gibby and Crittenton did a lot of sh*t-talking before this incident.

Days after the disagreement, Arenas loaded four handguns into his bag before practice and left for the Wizard’s facility. There, he confronted Crittenton in the locker room with the weapons.
