Bol Bol has been on the heated discussion table ever since he signed a one-year deal with the Kevin Durant and Devin Booker-led Phoenix Suns. The situation around his future is doubted by many and Gilbert Arenas is a pure hater while discussing that. Gibby and Rashad McCants went on to debate Bol Bol and his future for almost 23 minutes. And, that was a heated discussion that could have gone wrong but both are smart men and know their limits.

Gilbert Arenas is expecting another disappointing run from Bol Bol while Rashad McCants is a believer and isn’t riding with the narrative he believes to be fake. As he believes even the 7”2’ giant young talent deserves a chance and has developed a work ethic. In their heated discussion, they went into deep detail discussing how Bol Bol messed up his draft and went on to the second round while he was supposed to be a lottery pick.

The story though is very similar to Agent Zero’s, but he has denied to ride with the young giant as he believes he has a bad work ethic and is very lazy unlike him. He took the discussion very personally when Rashad dragged him into it and went on to disrespect Bol Bol on different levels. Even though he believes in his talents he’s expecting nothing but another failure.

Gilbert Arenas expressing his doubt went on to quote: “The same thing he brings to every other team — disappointment… I expect failure but his talent, unstoppable talent, but he ain’t using it.” Further, Gibby not holding himself an inch back went on to compare Bol Bol with a girl. He said: “Have you ever seen a really beautiful girl? She’s beautiful, got a bad attitude, right? She’s not attractive no more because of her attitude. Bol Bol is the pretty girl with a bad attitude.”

Tim Hardaway Sr. claims Bol Bol to be better than Victor Wembanyama

Tim Hardaway Sr. discussed Bol Bol’s signing with the Phoenix Suns. And, unlike Gilbert Arenas, he was a massive believer. He said: “A lot of people don’t understand about this signing of Bol Bol, To me, Bol Bol, a lot of people don’t know about him. I think he’s going to have a great chance out there to show what he can do. I think he’s better than Victor Wembanyama. Bol Bol has better physical talent and ready to play in the NBA right now than Victor is.”

Victor Wembanyama is a generational prospect and is already being compared with LeBron James and Michael Jordan. So bringing Bol Bol to that conversation honestly isn’t right.

He’s been in the league for quite a while now. But again as Rashad McCants said he deserves a chance and is changing accordingly as in the past he didn’t have opportunities to prove himself. Arenas’ take came out after Hardaway’s comments and now we will have to wait for the action to begin to recognize the correct side.
