Gilbert Arenas keeps trending among the NBA Community, specially his stories on Vlad TV, owing to the spicy content it spews with multiple NBA legends and players. A fight on the court can be brutal, but a fight off court can be devastating.
Knicks coach Derek Fisher was attacked in Los Angeles by NBA bad boy Matt Barnes, who drove 95 miles to “beat the sh*t out of him” when he found out Fisher was romancing his estranged wife, and it was Gilbert Arenas who stopped the pair from dueling each other.
Former three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas threw it back to 2015 when he hilariously shared a bit of a back story on the infamous incident involving Matt Barnes, his ex-wife Gloria Govan, and Derek Fisher.
“Derek Fisher’s at the House, I’m heading over” – Gilbert Arenas narrates the duel between Dereck Fisher and Matt Barnes
The NBA has Drama on the court and drama off the courts, its okay when the drama is about the game but when families get involved, it gets ugly. Coming on Vlad TV in January this year, Gilbert Arenas detailed Matt Barnes calling him and telling him he was angry that his ex, Gloria Govan, was dating Derek Fisher, which he found out about on accident.
Gilbert explained that he tried to divert Matt away from fighting Derek, which ultimately didn’t happen. Gilbert then detailed what he heard on the phone while the two were fighting.
The 6-foot-7 Barnes, who now plays for the Memphis Grizzlies, made a fast break from his team’s California training camp Saturday when he was tipped off that Fisher was making time with sultry “Basketball Wives LA” star Gloria Govan in the home Barnes once shared with her.
The way Arenas narrates the incident is definitely much funnier than how most may have remembered things going down on that fateful evening. This was no laughing matter as Barnes literally barged into his wife’s home to attack Fisher. It’s a good thing that no one got hurt too bad from this incident, as things could have gone much worse for all parties involved.
