In a captivating NBA showdown, rookie twin brothers Amen and Ausar Thompson clashed for the first time as the Houston Rockets went head-to-head against the Detroit Pistons at the Toyota Center in Houston. The elder sibling, Amen represented the Rockets, while Ausar donned the Pistons’ jersey. The outcome tilted in favor of Amen, with the Rockets securing a convincing 136-119 victory, sending the Pistons back to the drawing board.
Adding a twist to the narrative, a viral video surfaced on social media featuring another set of twin sisters attending the game. Amusingly, one user account playfully labeled them as the twin girlfriends of the two rookie brothers. The speculation gained momentum as the girls themselves contributed to the intrigue by sharing a video, wishing the NBA rookies well. This engaging clip quickly spread like wildfire on the widely-known social media platform, X (formerly called Twitter).
The intriguing revelation originated from a parody account mimicking Legion Hoops, aptly named Legon Hoops. The twin sisters at the center of the speculation are none other than the Cavinder twins, Haley and Hanna, renowned social media influencers.
In June, Amen and Ausar achieved a historic feat as the first twin brothers chosen in the top five and top ten of the NBA draft. The Houston Rockets secured Amen as the fourth overall pick, while the Detroit Pistons swiftly followed by selecting Ausar as the fifth pick.
