“Lmao POVERTY” Golden State Warriors get WRECKED on Twitter after recording the worst start in NBA History as defending champions

Golden State Warriors

Golden State Warriors fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 105-114 on Friday. It was their 6th straight loss on the road. Golden State became the first defending champions in NBA history to start with 0-6 on the road. A record they certainly would not be too happy to be associated with. What is even more alarming is the fact that Warriors’ most of the losses have come against some of the weaker teams in the league.

If anything that could work as an ointment for the Warriors’ wound right now it is the fact that the Warriors stayed in the late game despite the absence of their starting lineup. Jonathan Kuminga scored 18 points, Anthony Lamb scored 16 points and Ty Jerome came up with 18 points. Jordan Poole has been recently struggling to find his rhythm this season. He scored 20 points but made 5 of 18 field goals.

On a night filled with highlights, the Golden State Warriors did commit 23 turnovers and the Pelicans scored 36 points as a result. The Warriors finished their five-game road trip without a victory, are 0-6 on the road this year, and have a 3-7 record as they return to San Francisco. Hopefully, the Warriors will bounce back when they return for their home games and the trio is back.

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has been trying new lineups to change the team’s slump start of the season. As the team seeks to determine ways to revitalize the bench unit, Kerr suggested potential rotation tweaks following their loss to the Orlando Magic on Thursday night. After the defeat in New Orleans on Friday, when Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins were all forced to sit out due to rest or injury management, Kerr teased those changes even further. Kevon Looney and nine reserves had to face the Pelicans as a result.

Excited about getting home,” Kerr said after a winless, five-game road trip concluded. “Next week will be a great opportunity for us to get a lot of work in.” He also added, “We’re going to change up the rotations a little bit,” Kerr continued, adding that he’s identified players “who maybe haven’t gotten a ton of minutes who are going to get a chance to play.” NBA fans on Twitter trolled the Warriors for their 5th straight loss and 6th loss on the road. One Twitter user reacted, “Shows how their hospital ring (Middleton injured) doesn’t count.” The other user posted, “If only they could play all 82 games at home.”
