Brooklyn Nets’ Mikal Bridges has had a bit of a breakthrough in his NBA career over the past two seasons. The versatile offensive star has been the chief scorer for his team and is currently averaging 20.6 points per game, his highest-average in any season in which he has played at least 28 matches. 

The return has come amidst a clear increase in 3-point attempts, and has put him in the race for a potential All-Star appearance. Although much will depend on how the Nets fare for the rest of the season, it seems as If Bridges’ performances have already resulted in him winning over a high-profile fan.

Grammy-winning artist and singer H.E.R. was recently spotted expressing her appreciation for the 27-year-old NBA star. A simple confession was enough to result in a number of responses from fans,

The flirtatious moment comes after Bridges was seen entertaining the artists in the Barclays Center during her recent visit. The clip was actually a result of a challenge that Bridges himself gave to the musician. The player first nailed a logo shot, after which H.E.R. made the flirtatious comment.

It has, as one would expect, led to a range of reactions on Twitter, with one fan claiming that they themselves would have folded like ‘origami’ had H.E.R. professed their appreciation for them, instead.

Bridges has been in imperious form on the court of late and recently claimed that he is focussed on enjoying his basketball once again. ALongside H.E.R., it seemed as if that was exactly what the player was doing.

The artist made the claim, but failed to follow it up with a successful shot. The ball hit the rim isntead, after which she claimed the following:

Of course, none of the fans, as can be seen above, thought the same.

The short clip led to a range of reactions with most claiming that Bridges was severely lucky. Others lamented the fact that it was the NBA player, instead of them, who had the exchange with the beautiful musician/artist.
