The NBA players’ load management has been an issue for some players. This especially becomes a pressing issue as big names have been missing games in the recent past just to rest. Bam Adebayo, the Miami Heat superstar, had an episode aired by the Playmaker HQ which talked about his journey to the NBA and his early days.
While talking, he said how he doesn’t like the load management scenario of the players currently in the NBA. He said, “A lot of guys sitting, like load management…That kind of bothers me.” To defend his stance, he talks about how people and kids look up to these players and they should not be doing this.
He says, “you have a lot of kids and parents who want to see you play. Like you have kids who probably come from the inner city…then for you to find out they’re not playing. And it’s because you feel like ‘I got to load manage it, should be prepared and ready for this, that and the third’.” According to him, the NBA players have become softer over the years.

Why does Bam Adebayo not like NBA players? What was his journey like?

Talking about his earlier days, Adebayo said that he would go to his last dollar and on his last energy level, to see Kobe Bryant play. Referring to his statement of his feeling bad about load management in NBA players, he talks about how kids would be feeling this way too. This, according to him, is the biggest downplay of the league.
Adebayo, last season had clocked 2598 minutes of play in the game, which is his career-high. With this stat being the highest for his team, it gives him certain credibility to his name. When he sees some player on the bench, not playing, when he actually can, it pisses him off.
Whether or not fans get cheated, just as he feels so, is a question left unanswered. As talks have been going around of Bam being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, it will be interesting to see how successful he can be in this year of play.
