Heat vs Knicks: Stephen A. Smith FEARLESSLY claims Jimmy Butler will ‘go down’ to Jalen Brunson and Co.

The New York Knicks and the Miami Heat have advanced to the second round of the postseason. Both the teams were not the favorites to win their respective series, especially the Heat. The Knicks team led by Jalen Brunson eliminated the Cleveland Cavaliers in just five games, whereas the predictions prior to the series were quite the opposite. On the other hand, Miami who fought tough in the Play-In managed to enter this postseason as the 8th seed. Their reward was to face the best team of this regular season, the Milwaukee Bucks, who weren’t a problem for the Heat team. Miami eliminated the Bucks in five games as well.

Both the teams seem to be in form and on fire as they will now face each other in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. Out of both teams, Jimmy Butler is the man to look out for. Jimmy Butler is leading the postseason stats following the first round, averaging 37 points and six rebounds a game. He is single-handedly leading his team on both ends of the floor.

Whereas for the Knicks, Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett have led this team against the Cavs. Both the players have played exceptionally well alongside guys like Julius Randle and Josh Hart. Compared to the Heat team, the Knicks have a pretty balanced stat sheet. Stephen A. Smith who has been a supporter and a fan of the Knicks believes the team will be a toll on Butler.

Butler has definitely shown his leadership in the first round, being active on the defensive end of the floor as well. He has been playing quite the same as he was during the 2020 Finals trip, though this time, he is a major threat when it comes to scoring. Miami as a team forces more turnovers than any other in the East, showing the teams’ effort on on-ball defense. Though their key player, Butler does not seem to disappoint.

Jimmy Butler is in the middle of his best postseason so far

So far into the postseason, Butler has been a phenomenal player. With the first round out of the way following a dominant performance by Butler and company, the Heat is now in the talks for winning the East. Though Stephen A. doesn’t think the same. He does admit Butler’s current performance has been one of a kind saying, “I understand that when I’m talking about postseason Jimmy, I’m talking about greatness.”. The Knicks will have the home-court advantage in this series, having a better record than Miami.

The Madison Square Garden fills in loud Knicks fans, making it a tougher atmosphere for the opponent to play in. Stephen A. relies on the same fact on why this team will take him down. “And he will go down in this series. The Garden is a different animal, the Knicks have home-court advantage in this series.”, said Stephen A. While the Knicks crowd may be tough to play against, Butler and the Heat won three road games against the Bucks, posting MVP numbers.

The Heat as well as the Knicks have handled the road game pressure in the first round. Though it will be interesting to see how this series between these two solid teams goes down. How long do you think this series will last? Let us know in the comments.
