“He’s acting like a h**” – Matt Barnes SOUNDS OFF on Dillon Brooks pointing fingers after media’s villain comments
Matt Barnes rips apart Dillon Brooks for denying to be the villain as his trash-talk backfires.
Dillon Brooks and Matt Barnes
Matt Barnes has made his way back to the NBA headlines and the reason is again one of his fiery takes. And, this time on the receiving end is Dillon Brooks who is living rent-free in the heads of many basketball fans for all the wrong reasons. As Dillon Brooks isn’t able to back the trash-talking done by him and is now running away from the criticism as he isn’t living up to the hype he created. Matt Barnes though has righteously called him out in his recent take and didn’t hold himself an inch while doing so.
Dillon Brooks isn’t riding with his latest achievement of becoming the league’s villain. As he believes he’s being portrayed as someone he isn’t by the media and the fans. Ahead of Game 4, he called out the media for being portrayed as the villain by quoting: “The media making me a villain, the fans making me a villain and then that just creates a whole different persona on me…”
But the genuine basketball world clearly remembers him trash-talking LeBron James and calling him out unnecessarily. Also, Dillon Brooks has a great history with the Golden State Warriors. So the fans and, especially, Matt Barnes aren’t letting him slide. Even though Dillon Brooks is trying to play the victim after his talks have backfired on him, he isn’t going to be forgiven anytime soon. And, Matt Barnes has clearly explained all the reasons behind it.
Matt Barnes’ take on Dillon Brooks denying to be the league’s villain
Matt Barnes showed no mercy to Dillon Brooks and ripped him apart while speaking out nothing but facts on “What’s Burnin” at “Showtime Basketball.” Discussing Dillon Brooks’ claim of being portrayed as a villain by the media, Matt Barnes quoted: “How do you talk sh*t, continuing to talk sh*t and then try to say that the media and the fans are making you a villain? And then when you start getting your head busted you don’t want to talk to the media no more? It’s easy to talk sh*t when sh*t is cool. But when your back is against the wall, you got to stand on what you’re talking.”
Further, Matt Barnes added: “And now you wanna ‘I’m out’ and ‘I’m not talking to the media.’ He’s acting like a h**, straight up, and he’s trying to point fingers at everyone else, that sh*t is weak.”
Matt Barnes isn’t wrong at all with his take as Dillon Brooks refused to address the media after two losses where he wasn’t able to have any good impact on the game. Also, the Los Angeles Lakers are just one win away from pulling down the curtains on the Memphis Grizzlies. So it’s high time for Dillon Brooks to get going and at least back the trash-talking done by him.
