If the team is successful and can offer him a long-term, big-money deal, it may make it easier for him to stay with the Sixers. However, if he wants to return to Houston regardless of the outcome of the playoffs, then that could be a possibility as well.
James Harden’s future is very unclear in Philadelphia. Houston is very much in play for him and I think a lot may depend on — do they make a run and win? And it’s easy to pay him long-term big money? Or he just wants to be in Houston and in or lose he goes, or it’s dependent on the team’s success? But it’s gonna look different.
