Stephen Curry has been carrying the Warriors on his back all season long, averaging 29.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game, and is one of the leading 3-pointers scorer in the league. He has also shown his versatility and leadership, contributing with his rebounding and playmaking skills.

But even Curry’s brilliance was not enough to overcome the Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Monday night. Curry recorded his 13th career triple-double, finishing with 31 points, 14 assists, and ten rebounds. He shot 12-of-30 from the field, but only 3-of-14 from beyond the arc.

However, the Warriors could not match the Lakers’ star power and defense, losing the crucial game 104-101. The Lakers were led by LeBron James, who had 27 points, ten rebounds, and six assists, and Anthony Davis, who had 23 points, 15 rebounds, and two assists.

Stephen Curry’s rare feat not enough for Warriors

Curry’s triple-double was a rare feat for him, as he has recorded only 13 in his entire career. He has three playoff triple-doubles, two of them coming in 2017 against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. He has not received much help from his teammates, especially in this series against the Lakers. The Warriors have struggled to find consistent scoring options besides Curry, and their defense has also been shaky at times.

Curry has proven that he can do it all on the court, scoring, passing, and rebounding at a high level. He has 13 career triple-doubles to show for it. But he will need more than that to win another championship ring.

Curry will have to put up another heroic performance in Game 5 on Wednesday night to keep the Warriors’ hopes alive. He will also need more support from his teammates, especially Draymond Green and Jordan Poole.
