The Detroit Pistons are having a rough start to the season. On paper, their team looks promising but hasn’t yet yielded results. They are dead last in the Eastern Conference with a record of 2 wins and 24 losses.

This start has led them to achieve some records. The strangest is that now Draymond Green has more ejections(3) than Detroit has won. This is alarming news for the Pistons and Draymond. Green is now suspended indefinitely and the Pistons are now the laughing stocks of the league.

Draymond was suspended indefinitely after swinging his arm onto Jusuf Nurkic‘s face. This was his third big incident this season. He fought with Donovan Mitchell and choked out Rudy Gobert before as well.

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons 146-114, powered by Damian Lillard and Bobby Portis, causing the Pistons to lose for the 23rd time in a row. In his first game back from breaking the franchise mark with 64 points against the Indiana Pacers, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 22 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and dished out six assists.

Detroit’s Cade Cunningham scored 25 points, and Bojan Bogdanovic added 24; yet, the suffering persisted for a Pistons squad that was experiencing a record-breaking losing streak.

They are presently on the verge of surpassing the dubious record of 26 straight losses in a single season held by the 2010–11 Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2013–14 Philadelphia 76ers.

Detroit’s most recent victory came against the Bulls on October 28th, 118-102.

The Pistons are averaging just 108 points per game while giving up 118, which is the third-lowest average in the league, ahead of only the Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies.

This hasn’t been an easy ride for coach Monty Williams. The Suns were a championship-level team but this is a whole new different ballgame. The Pistons are a lottery team with a lot of young prospects. This makes the situation harder for the coach. He had Booker, Paul, and Durant at his disposal but now, he has to depend on Ivey, Cunnigham, and Thompson. There was bound to be a rocky start.

It appears to be a very challenging assignment for the Pistons to turn things around and become a postseason contender with just a few wins after the first 26 games.
