Jalen Green went live on Instagram and had NBA fans trolling him and warning him from pulling out a gun about Ja Morant. Earlier this month, Ja Morant was involved in another gun controversy, leading to his indefinite suspension from all Memphis Grizzlies activities. The NBA has not formally announced a suspension for Ja Morant yet.

Ja Morant was caught wielding a gun on his Instagram Live and the second time on his friend’s live video. When NBA fans saw Jalen Green go live, they trolled him for the same, and Jalen Green said – “Everyone’s commenting ‘don’t pull a pistol out’… I don’t got no gun,” while laughing with his friends. Jalen Green saw the funny side of the incident as he said – “These n**as wildin’” in reaction to the comments on his live.

Ja Morant posted cryptic Instagram stories, followed by a welfare check at his house by the police revealing Morant is fine. Fans on Twitter and Instagram seem to be cautioning young players in a joking manner not to follow a similar route as Morant, as seen with Houston Rockets shooting guard Jalen Green. Green has not formally commented on the Ja Morant situation.

Morant is a senior player to Green, drafted in 2021, whereas Morant was drafted in 2019 by the Memphis Grizzlies. One Twitter user said – “Hey nowadays never know with these young ones. JA is setting a weird ass precedent,” as Morant has a huge fan following in the NBA and is one of the youngest rising stars of the league at just 23 years of age.

Some fans mocked Green for his shooting stats this season, joking about him possibly pulling out a gun. One Twitter user replied, saying, “We were never worried, you’ve never had a shot.” Jalen Green shot 33% from three and just 41% from the field this season for the tanking Houston Rockets, who secured the #4 pick in the 2024 NBA draft lottery.

Some fans complimented Jalen Green, stating “Jalen Green is better and smarter than Ja” because he didn’t appear with a gun on his Instagram live. Morant has made the same mistake twice and is currently bearing the consequences of it with his future in the league at stake. The league reports suggest that he could face a ban for next season, but they haven’t issued a conclusive ban yet.
