Iman Shumpert was a very sneaky player during his time in the league. His tenure was very short lived but neither has he spoken about retiring from the sport entirely. The player became a free agent in November 2021 and has not found a home to compete with just yet. His run in the league was with the Brooklyn Nets.

NBA players often partake in business activities and invest heavily in budding ideas. Most of them do it to attain a steady flow of income to add onto their net worth. Players of the league are known to earn hefty sums of money and not all of them are particularly smart with it. “I’ve never had a weird spending habit. Sometimes people just buy stuff and I like… why? It don’t even make sense to me,” said Iman Shumpert on DJ Vlad’s interview.

“Somebody would be like going out all week. Bruh you spent like, it gotta be a hundred bands now this week. I ain’t gonna like after my rookie year I had to ask my brother, ‘ I don’t know how people go broke.’” Shumpert had highlighted how the league also helps players pay taxes and other bills.

It seems like Iman Shumpert has also joined the train of spending money wisely. The former champion of the Cleveland Cavaliers said, “I saved up. What I calculated for myself is… if I put my sh*t in safe bonds and safe investments in companies that I know are going to put money back into their company to make sure their company continues to grow.”

“if I could lock onto these companies quickest. Cause I knew already getting Apple stock and sh*t, we knew back then grabbing that stock then, what it’s going to be now. No matter when you get in your straight cause they’re going to constantly take that money and put it back in that Apple. I knew there’s a certain amount I’m going to get every year on interest.”
