Houston Rockets, who were pursuing former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka have finalized an agreement to appoint him as the man to lead the team next season. The Rockets’ coaching search also featured Frank Vogel, the ex-coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, and James Borrego, the former coach of the Charlotte Hornets. Udoka was also approached by the Toronto Raptors but decided to sign with the Rockets.
The Rockets conducted a thorough investigation with the league office and the Celtics, among other parties. This was regarding an inappropriate workplace relationship that led to the suspension and termination of Udoka from the Celtics nearly three months ago. The Rockets decided to offer him the job after their investigation.
During his only season as head coach of the Celtics, Udoka steered the team to the NBA Finals. He aimed to maintain the team’s momentum for another season, but unfortunately, he derailed his plans by breaching the team’s regulations. Despite the controversies, several other teams, including the Raptors, still showed interest in acquiring Udoka’s services.
Udoka’s capacity to unify a team and earn their reverence made him attractive to both the Rockets and the market. Under Udoka’s guidance, the Celtics achieved a 51-31 record. He joined an exclusive group of just five rookie head coaches who made it to the NBA Finals in the past 25 years. NBA Fans across the world have a different way of looking at this entire situation. While the Rockets celebrate the hiring of a terrific coach, fans are looking out for the “strip clubs”
Strip Clubs stay ready as Ime Udoka is finally hired as the head coach for Houston Rockets
According to an independent investigation conducted by a law firm, Udoka had engaged in inappropriate behavior towards a female subordinate. He allegedly used offensive language and subsequently had an improper relationship with her. These findings made it impossible for him to return as the coach of the Celtics. But now, Udoka has finally signed with the Houston Rockets to take over the role of their head coach. Look at some of the fan reactions to Udoka’s signing with the Rockets.
Reports suggest that the Rockets are considering reuniting with James Harden if he becomes a free agent. The 76ers superstar has a player option for the upcoming season, which gives him the avenue to become a free agent. It appears that both Harden and the Rockets are interested in rekindling their relationship. It will be interesting to see how Harden and Udoka pair up in the Houston Strip Clubs as fans await a lot of drama.
