Ime Udoka is all over the NBA headlines as at the moment he’s the biggest controversial name in the league. As after leading the young Boston Celtics team to the NBA Finals and changing the whole story around the franchise in his first season as the head coach itself. Recently, a scandal of his was caught and a sad and dirty reality about Ime Udoka was revealed. As he cheated on his fiance Nia Long with a Celtics female staff member.
Ime Udoka and Nia Long have been together for more than a decade now. In 2010 they were set up by a mutual friend. The couple even got engaged in 2015 after dating for some good 5 years. They also have two children together but aren’t married yet. As they have a very different take on it. But now it looks like Ime Udoka has ended it all by cheating on her with a female staff member of the Celtics. It’s really shocking and very unexpected as the image the couple has maintained for the public was very different and now it’s a completely changed story as the Celtics game-changer comes out to be a cheater.
As reported by, Shams Charania head coach Ime Udoka has violated the franchise’s code of conduct by maintaining an improper, intimate and consensual relationship with a female staff member. As the insider, in a tweet of his revealing it all wrote: “Celtics coach Ime Udoka had an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. It’s been deemed a violation of franchise’s code of conduct.”
Ime Udoka and Nia Long both of them haven’t publically responded about the unfortunate situation yet. The road for Nia is surely a tough one as her partner came out to be an unloyal guy and did her dirty. Now there are great chances of him getting punished with some harsh punishment. As Celtics won’t really let him bounce off after he violated the franchise’s code of conduct with another female staff member.
Actions to be taken against Ime Udoka
As reported by, Adrian Wojnarowski there are internal discussions going on around Ime Udoka and he is about to face serious disciplinary actions and can even be suspended as he violated the organization’s guidelines. In a detailed tweet, the insider also mentioned: “No final decision has been made on the length of a suspension, but internal discussions have included scenarios that would keep Udoka out for the entirety of the 2022-2023 season, sources told ESPN.”
There are good chances of Ime Udoka going out for a year. But that’s just not good for the Celtics and his future itself. Also, it’s something personal even though the organization is included. So the punishment and especially the details about suspension can’t be said or claimed at the moment. But he’ll surely be paying a price and punished for his dirty unloyal actions.
