LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the best players ever to touch a basketball. In the simplest words, he’s a different breed and the most consistent player ever seen. Also, he’s about to enter his 21st season and ball out to continue his domination. And, in the past two decades, it hasn’t been really possible for an individual to stop LeBron James. As King James can do anything and everything on the court be it scoring, rebounding, or playmaking.
LeBron James can also suit up at any position and do his job in the best possible way. He has been clowning respected names around the basketball world since his rookie year and now has even made it to the GOAT debate. Senior NBA Insider, Brian Windhorst who has been covering Bron since he was a teenager believes that there’s just one player who has physically intimidated James.
According to Brian Windhorst, it is the former NBA champion and DPOY, Ron Artest also known as Metta World Peace and Metta Sandiford-Artest. On the recent episode of “NBA Today,” Windy giving Ron his credits quoted: “Ron Artest is probably the only player or one of the very, very few that I saw physically intimidate LeBron James during his career. He could especially physically handle Bron during his rookie year. My respect for him as a defender is immense. I would say one of the best defenders of the last 20 years without a question.”
Brian never really throws any random takes out. But this time he might have gone a bit wrong. He made this statement after Stephen Curry revealed the top-3 defenders he has faced and Ron was one of those. But LeBron James has always been in the unstoppable conversation. But again he has been around his career since the very start. So maybe he’s not wrong and Metta Sandiford-Artest was able to give King James a hard time. But unfortunately, even Artest doesn’t believe the same.

Metta Sandiford-Artest disagrees with physically intimidating LeBron James
Metta Sandiford-Artest was quick to defend LeBron James from Brian Windhorst’s claim even though it was positive on his side. The former DPOY retweeted the segment and wrote: “@KingJames dominated our meets on average with a 80% success rate. He was strong enough to keep up with my strength and he succeeded.”
LeBron James and Metta Sandiford-Artest faced each other 21 times. Bron leads by 13-8. And, he was letting Metta know about him since his rookie year itself by dropping 20+ points bomb every time they met.
LeBron James’ averages against Metta are 26.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.8 assists. So it’s nice to see Artest be honest about the take and accept the reality.
