Anthony Davis plays the biggest role behind the Los Angeles Lakers’ success so far this postseason. But he’s also the biggest reason behind the losses they have recorded. As he continues to be disappointing for the team by failing to have two straight good games. Throughout the nine post-season games, Anthony Davis has played so far. He is yet to have two straight good games and is maintaining a very unfortunate but confusing streak as the stats suggest.
Anthony Davis so far in the post-season is averaging 21.2 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. His stat line could have been a lot better if he played well continuously. But it’s very strange that Anthony Davis is only able to play some good ball in odd-numbered games like Game 1,3 and 5. As during odd-numbered games, he is averaging: 27.8 points and 16.8 rebounds while having a 4-1 record.
But the story isn’t the same for Anthony Davis when he’s playing an even-numbered game. As in those he isn’t able to ball out and have an impact on either ends of the court. His average for even-numbered games like Game 2, 4 and 6 is just 13 points and 10.3 rebounds. Also, his record is 2-2.
The Los Angeles Lakers as of now are leading the Western Conference Semifinals series against the Golden State Warriors at 2-1. As they recently, registered a blowout win at 127-97 at Crypto.com Arena. In that game, Anthony Davis had an impact, as he chipped in 25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 assists. But now it’s time for Game 4, an even-numbered game where Anthony Davis will have to prove himself. As fans are already wilding with the new nickname “every other Davis.” And, if he didn’t show up during Game 4, the Dubs would get an easy road to tie the series at 2-2.
Can the Lakers trust even-numbered Anthony Davis against the Warriors?

Anthony Davis is too great to be predicted by stats. But he hasn’t proved them wrong, as so far his performances have been nothing but a complete rollercoaster ride between odd and even number games.
So it would be hard for the Lakers Nation to trust him going into Game 4. But the organization though has complete faith in Anthony Davis. As it won’t be a surprise for them if he breaks through and carries the Lakers to a dub and a 3-1 lead.
But if that doesn’t happen and even-numbered Anthony Davis shows up. The Los Angeles Lakers then will have to turn towards the depth of their roster. And, someone else like Rui Hachimura, D’Angelo Russell, or Austin Reaves will have to get going. But AD will still have to play some solid defense or else it’s nothing but another loss for the Los Angeles Lakers. Game 4 is scheduled for May 8 at 10 P.M. E.T at Crypto.com Arena.
