“Delete your account bro. It’s over lol” Isiah Thomas claps back on a fan calling him a ‘bum’ for shading Kevin Durant’s dominance, Twitter reacts
Kevin Durant and Isiah Thomas
Former NBA player Isiah Thomas has shown disappointment over Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant’s gradually falling dominance in the NBA league. Isiah thinks Kevin has just become an ordinary player and has lost his shine. He also added that even if he scored 30 pts in a game, it is no more said to be having the upper hand in the game.
Fans didn’t really liked this take of Isiah Thomas. So they called him out on Twitter and the Bad Boy clapped back on one of them as he decided to call Isiah a ‘bum’ for his take. Responding to the fan Thomas quoted in his tweet, “When you hold your opponent to under 100 points your 30 points can dominate a game. When your opponents score 120-130 the individual 30 is not dominant. That’s why I get paid to “teach” you not “debate” with you.” The fan who got destroyed by the 2-time Champion mocked him for highlighting Kevin’s dominance in the league over the period.
Kevin Durant had been under the radar for making unrealistic demands from the Net’s management before the season began. Even when the season started, he chipped in with a few valuable points for his team, but that wasn’t enough to take them over the line. However, after his ‘best friend’ Kyrie Irving was suspended, the onus was on Durant to lead the way, and he was successful in winning back-to-back games. Fans have had mixed reactions to this whole dominance scenario, many now root for Isiah Thomas’ sensible take and the tweets can be seen below:
Has the Brooklyn Nets’ constant drama overshadowed Kevin Durant’s dominating performance
This season has been a ruckus for the Nets as they have had so much drama off the court. Known as one of the game’s greatest scorers, people always have high hopes from Kevin. As termed earlier by Isiah Thomas, Kevin’s dominance seems to have ended. But surprisingly, he’s scoring the ball at the highest rate of his career this season.
Through 10 games, Durant is averaging 31.5 points per performance while shooting 52 percent from the field. On a 36-minute basis, Durant is averaging more points (30.4) than he ever has while still shooting above his career average of 49 percent.
Durant is also leading the league in total points scored (315) at this early stage in the season, and his effort hasn’t only been limited to the offensive end, either. Durant has also stepped up in an unfamiliar area, averaging a career-high two blocks per performance, and has been a much-needed defense player from time to time for his team.
