Stephen A. Smith, I don’t live my life focused on beef, but the media and people like you continue to bring it up so I respond. In fact, you invited me on your show last week to talk about it and I declined, I’m good!!
Thomas wrote on X

With this statement, it seems that it was the ESPN analyst who wanted to extend the discussion about the beef. Thomas on the other hand, has made it clear of his intent to stay away from any further discussions on this topic.

As per Isiah Thomas, the supposed rivalry is being used by media personnel for screen time, which Thomas is not looking for. He knows that Smith is one of the loudest supporters of Michael Jordan. Hence, he declined the invitation to talk about the beef on Smith’s show, knowing there is a high chance it might go against him.

Stephen A. Smith talks about Isiah Thomas’ feelings about beef with Michael Jordan

The backdrop of this entire situation was Isiah Thomas’ recent comments on The Draymond Green Show. He clarified that he has always been good to Michael Jordan all this while. But after he watched ‘The Last Dance’, he realized that Jordan was harboring such feelings secretly. After all this, unless Jordan issues a public apology, there is no way their relationship could be salvaged.

Stephen A. Smith talked about this statement from Thomas on his The Stephen A. Smith Show.

Michael doesn't give a damn. He doesn't care if he ever speaks to Isiah Thomas in life again. He's not fond of him. Period.
Smith said

Smith feels Thomas should not waste any time thinking Jordan would ever come out and try to fix their relationship. Jordan rates Thomas highly as a player but does not like him as a person.

But the ESPN analyst was happy that Isiah Thomas openly said what he felt about the entire beef with Michael Jordan. It’s just that he may not want to discuss it now and then in the media. He’ll happily live with the beef unresolved.
