Isiah Thomas reveals what Larry Brown told him before firing him as the HC of Indiana Pacers

Isiah Thomas, arguably one of the greatest point guards to have ever set foot onto an NBA court had an impeccable career as a player. In spite of his size, he played as though he was the toughest and strongest there was. He also managed to break all-time records as a member of the Detroit Pistons for 13 seasons.

Throughout his career, he was often put down by his peers, most notably Michael Jordan. Either way, he still managed to snag two NBA Championships, 12 All-Star selections and a Final MVP as well in 1990. There have been stories of him getting snubbed from the USA Basketball Dream Team and players disliking his attitude, but nothing would compare to his dismissal as Head Coach of the Indiana Pacers.

During an interview with Peter Vecsey on “Hoop du Jour,” Isiah Thomas dropped the biggest truth bomb that may leave you in shock. According to Thomas, Larry Brown did not want the former Pistons legend on the coaching squad simply because preferred working with Rick Carlisle.

The Pacers were certainly well on their way to becoming NBA Champions. Ron Artest was emerging and Reggie Miller was playing as strong as ever. Isiah Thomas even mentioned that the infamous Malice at the Palace ruined everything the Pacers were bound for. Artest was given a season-long suspension and the Pacers lost their only hope of winning a title during Miller’s era.

Isiah Thomas earned his shot at redemption with the New York Knicks in 2006. The Knicks were not particularly the best in the Eastern Conference but they were slowly climbing their way up the ladder. It turns out that Isiah was just as bad a person as he was a coach because this was part in parcel of his dismissal.

Isiah Thomas was found guilty of sexual harassment by the court. He apparently harassed a former Knicks executive Anucha Browne Sanders. According to the New York Post, Thomas fired Sanders after learning about her filing a complaint over his misdemeanor. She was paid $11.6 million but Zeke walked away unscathed.
