Claiming their third consecutive victory, Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies achieved this feat for the first time this season. Facing the Atlanta Hawks on their home court at the State Farm Arena, the Grizzlies emerged triumphant with a hard-fought 125-119 win, condemning the Hawks to their second consecutive defeat.

Fighting back after trailing 60-50 at the end of the first half, the Grizzlies staged a comeback, winning the 3rd and 4th quarters 40-33 and 35-26, respectively. Leading the charge for the Grizzlies, Desmond Bane recorded an impressive 37 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

In his third game of the season, Morant ended with 30 points, six rebounds, and 11 assists. On the opposing side, Trae Young topped the chart for the Atlanta Hawks with 30 points, five rebounds, and 13 assists, while Dejounte Murray contributed 26 points, along with four assists and rebounds.

Securing his third consecutive win with the Grizzlies since returning from a 25-game NBA-imposed suspension for flashing a firearm in public, Ja Morant has made a remarkable comeback. Ironically, the Grizzlies star boasts more wins this season (3) than the struggling Detroit Pistons (2), who are enduring a terrible and abysmal run of form, holding a 2-27 record for the season.

With the win, the Grizzlies maintain their position at 13th on the Western Conference standings, holding a 9-19 record. Meanwhile, the Pistons reside at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. In their upcoming fixtures, the Grizzlies will visit the Smoothie King Center to face the New Orleans Pelicans, while the Pistons will play at home against the Brooklyn Nets.

Detroit Pistons’ losing streak continues

Experiencing a challenging season, the three-time NBA champion Detroit Pistons are enduring a terrible run of form with a 2-27 record. Unfortunately, things went from bad to worse for them last night as they suffered their 26th consecutive loss, falling 126-115 against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center.

Presently, the Pistons find themselves tied with the 2010-11 Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2013-14 Philadelphia 76ers for the longest single-season losing streak, each having endured 26 games. Notably, the NBA record for the most consecutive losses belongs to the 76ers, who suffered 28 straight defeats spanning two seasons: 2014-15 (10) and 2015-16 (18).

In the upcoming rematch against the Brooklyn Nets at the Little Caesars Arena, the Pistons aim to avoid etching their name into the wrong kind of record—a must-win game for them to break the streak.
