Ja Morant’s father and Karl Anthony Towns’ father seem to have a side bet going as Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies were head-locked in a serious first-round series. With Ja Morant and his Grizzlies closing the first-round series in six-games, Tee Morant and his son had the ultimate laugh.

However, after Game 6 when Ja Morant was busy doing his post-game interview, his dad Tee urged him to give his jersey to Karl Anthony Towns Sr. Although the medium sized jersey would surely not fit the latter, he did not let the spirit die by holding onto it. Especially when his son was a part of a great young-battle with Ja Morant.

It is definitely a fun ending to what has been an exciting series between the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves. For what it’s worth, the two dads had been trash talking each other since the start of the competition, often barking on the side-lines as they show how proud they are of their children.

Karl Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves eventually fell to Ja Morant and the Grizzlies 4-2. While it looked like Minnesota would be able to win Game 6 with a 10-point lead heading to the final quarter, they weren’t able to hold on to the advantage. And eventually fell out as the fourth quarter reached into the deeper minutes.

Take a look at how fans reacted on the same-

Ja Morant and his Grizzlies squad are not up against a rampant Golden State Warriors side which comprises of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Given that the entire team of Steve Kerr is in-form, Grizzlies are surely the underdogs heading into this one, at least according to the betting circle.

But do not let that fool you about the caliber of this team on either end of the court. Will we witness the rise of the young Memphis Grizzlies? Or will Golden State Warriors stamp their authority all over the Western Conference by beating the experienced former champions in the semi-finals round.
